A romantic, no-stress charcuterie board for two, perfect for date nights or cozy evenings. Build it together with a variety of cheeses, meats, fruits, and crunchy elements for a shared grazing experience.

Ingredients

  • Brie or Camembert (soft cheese)
  • Aged Gouda or Manchego (firm cheese)
  • Sharp Cheddar (classic cheese)
  • Goat Cheese or Blue Cheese (tangy option)
  • Prosciutto (thinly sliced)
  • Salami or Soppressata (spicy or mild)
  • Capicola or Speck (smoky)
  • Chicken or Turkey Slices (lighter option)
  • Grapes (red or green)
  • Fresh Figs or Strawberries (seasonal)
  • Apple or Pear Slices
  • Dried Apricots or Dates
  • Baguette Slices (toasted or fresh)
  • Crackers (plain and flavored)
  • Breadsticks or Grissini
  • Nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • Honey
  • Fig Jam or Apricot Preserves
  • Olives (kalamata or castelvetrano)
  • Dark Chocolate (a few squares)
  • Pickles or Cornichons

Instructions

  1. Start with the cheeses. Place them on the board first, spaced evenly apart. Cut some into slices or cubes and leave others whole for visual interest.
  2. Add the small bowls. Place ramekins with honey, fig jam, olives, or pickles around the board to anchor the arrangement.
  3. Layer in the meats. Fold prosciutto into loose ribbons or rosettes. Fan out salami slices in a line or circle.
  4. Fill gaps with fruit. Add clusters of grapes, sliced apples, or figs near the cheeses they pair best with.
  5. Add the crunch. Arrange crackers and baguette slices around the edges of the board in small groups.
  6. Fill remaining spaces. Tuck nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate into any empty spots.
  7. Drizzle and garnish. Drizzle honey over the brie or gouda. Sprinkle fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for color. Add flaky sea salt on the cheese.
  8. Serve immediately. Place the board in the center of the table with small plates, napkins, and cheese knives.

Notes

Let cheeses sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving. For a vegetarian version, skip the meats and add more cheese, roasted red peppers, marinated artichokes, and extra fruit. If gluten-free, swap crackers for rice cakes or cucumber rounds. Keep extra ingredients in the fridge and refresh the board halfway through for longer date nights.
