This Cozy Green Slime Halloween Punch is a spooky, delicious, and fun drink that combines tropical fruit flavors with a creamy, slimy texture. Perfect for Halloween parties, it’s quick to make with simple ingredients and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 liter pineapple juice (unsweetened works best)
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7Up, regular or diet)
  • 1 cup coconut milk (canned, full-fat for creaminess, or light for a thinner consistency)
  • 1/2 cup lime juice (fresh squeezed is best, but bottled works in a pinch)
  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 cup cold water (for blooming the gelatin)
  • Green food coloring (gel or liquid, start with a few drops and adjust)
  • Neon yellow food coloring (optional, but gives that radioactive glow)
  • Green gummy worms (the sour ones add a nice tang)
  • Edible glitter or luster dust (silver or green, for that magical shimmer)
  • Ice cubes (preferably shaped like skulls or bats, but regular is fine)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for a pop of color and freshness)

Instructions

  1. Bloom the gelatin. In a small bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the 1/4 cup cold water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes thick and spongy.
  2. Heat the gelatin. Once bloomed, microwave the gelatin for 15-20 seconds, or until it’s completely liquid and clear. Stir gently and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Mix the punch base. In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the pineapple juice, lemon-lime soda, coconut milk, and lime juice. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Add the color. Start with 5-6 drops of green food coloring and 2 drops of neon yellow. Stir well, then check the color. Add more drops as needed, but go slowly.
  5. Incorporate the gelatin. Slowly pour the liquid gelatin into the punch while whisking constantly. Whisk for a full minute to ensure it’s evenly distributed.
  6. Chill the punch. Cover the bowl or pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. The gelatin needs time to set slightly, giving the punch that thick, slimy consistency.
  7. Prepare the garnishes. While the punch chills, arrange your gummy worms on a plate and pop them in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve and garnish. When ready to serve, give the punch a good stir. Add the ice cubes and frozen gummy worms. Sprinkle edible glitter on top for that magical shimmer. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

The punch needs at least an hour to chill, so plan accordingly. You can make it up to 4 hours ahead and keep it in the fridge—just give it a good stir before serving. The gelatin will continue to set over time, so it will get thicker. For the best color, use gel food coloring instead of liquid. If you want a vegan version, substitute the gelatin with agar agar powder (1 teaspoon bloomed in 1/4 cup water, then heated until dissolved). For an adult version, add 1 cup of coconut rum or vodka. To keep the punch cold without diluting it, nestle the punch bowl in a larger bowl filled with ice.
