These creamy, protein-packed overnight oats come together in just 5 minutes and taste like a cozy hug in a jar. Perfect for busy mornings, they’re made with simple ingredients like rolled oats, peanut butter, Greek yogurt, and vanilla protein powder.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (50g) rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (any kind)
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) peanut butter (natural, no added sugar)
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: sliced banana, extra peanut butter drizzle, dark chocolate chips, chopped nuts, cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Grab a clean, dry mason jar or airtight container (16 oz or larger).
  2. Add dry ingredients first: 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1 tablespoon chia seeds (if using), and a pinch of salt.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons peanut butter. If cold, microwave for 10 seconds to soften.
  4. Pour in 1/2 cup milk. Do not stir yet.
  5. Add 1/4 cup Greek yogurt and 1 tablespoon maple syrup.
  6. Stir everything together thoroughly for 30-45 seconds, scraping bottom and sides, until smooth and no dry powder remains.
  7. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight (8-12 hours).
  8. In the morning, stir again. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Add desired toppings and enjoy cold.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature peanut butter and mix protein powder with a little milk first to avoid clumps. Do not oversweeten; toppings add sweetness. Oats can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days. Do not freeze. Reheating is not recommended as it changes texture.
