A simple, no-cook charcuterie board perfect for a cozy date night at home. Ready in 15 minutes with a balance of creamy, salty, sweet, and crunchy flavors.

Ingredients

  • Soft cheese: Brie or Camembert (let come to room temperature)
  • Hard cheese: Aged cheddar, Manchego, or Gouda
  • Blue cheese: Gorgonzola or mild Roquefort
  • Fresh cheese: Fresh mozzarella balls or goat cheese
  • Cured salami: Genoa salami or soppressata
  • Prosciutto: Thinly sliced
  • Chorizo: Spicy and smoky
  • Capicola: Mild and tender
  • Water crackers
  • Baguette slices (toasted or fresh)
  • Pita chips
  • Breadsticks
  • Fresh fruit: Red grapes, apple slices, or fresh figs
  • Dried fruit: Dried apricots, dates, or cranberries
  • Nuts: Marcona almonds, candied pecans, or walnuts
  • Olives: Kalamata or Castelvetrano
  • Pickles: Cornichons
  • Spreads: Whole grain mustard, honey, or fig jam

Instructions

  1. Take the cheese out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving.
  2. Choose your board or platter (12×16 inch recommended).
  3. Place small bowls for spreads, olives, and honey on the board first.
  4. Add the cheeses at different spots. Cut hard cheese into slices or cubes; leave soft cheese whole.
  5. Add the meats: fold salami into quarters or roll into cylinders; drape prosciutto in ruffled piles. Place meats near complementary cheeses.
  6. Add crackers and bread, fanning them out in groups around the board.
  7. Fill gaps with fresh and dried fruit: scatter grapes in clusters, tuck apple slices near cheddar, add dried apricots and dates in piles.
  8. Add nuts and olives: sprinkle nuts in empty spaces, place olives in their bowl.
  9. Finish with spreads: drizzle honey over brie or put in a bowl; add fig jam and mustard in bowls.
  10. Step back and check for balance. Fill any empty spots with extra crackers or fruit.

Notes

Let cheese come to room temperature for best flavor. Avoid overcrowding the board. Keep strong cheeses like blue cheese separate from mild ones. Prep all ingredients before arranging. For vegetarian version, skip meats and add marinated vegetables and hummus.
