Learn how to make a refreshing and budget-friendly copycat Starbucks Pink Drink at home with real strawberries, coconut milk, and Tazo Passion tea. This easy recipe is customizable, dairy-free, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (or fresh, if in season)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or preferred sweetener like honey or agave)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  • 1 cup Tazo Passion Tazo Herbal Tea (brewed and chilled)
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (from a carton, not a can)
  • 1–2 tablespoons strawberry syrup (store-bought or homemade)
  • Ice cubes (lots of them!)
  • Freeze-dried strawberries (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the strawberry simple syrup (if using homemade): In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of sliced strawberries. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the strawberries have softened and released their color. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass jar or bowl, pressing on the strawberries to extract…
  2. Brew and chill the tea: Brew 1 cup of Tazo Passion tea by steeping 2 tea bags in 1 cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until completely cold.
  3. Prepare the strawberries: If using frozen strawberries, let them thaw slightly—about 5-10 minutes at room temperature. Place them in a bowl and lightly mash them with a fork, leaving some small chunks for texture.
  4. Build the drink: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes almost to the top. Add 2-3 tablespoons of the mashed strawberries to the glass.
  5. Add the syrup and tea: Pour in 1-2 tablespoons of strawberry syrup and 1 cup of chilled passion tea. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Finish with coconut milk: Slowly pour 1/2 cup of coconut milk over the back of a spoon into the glass to create a layered effect. Do not stir yet.
  7. Garnish and serve: Top with a few freeze-dried strawberries or a fresh strawberry slice. Give it a gentle stir before drinking. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

For the exact Starbucks color, use a little extra syrup. If using store-bought strawberry syrup, start with less as it’s usually sweeter. The layered look is achieved by pouring coconut milk slowly over the back of a spoon. This drink is best served immediately; do not freeze as coconut milk separates upon thawing.
