A light and festive Halloween charcuterie board featuring candy corn, cheese, cured meats, fresh fruit, and crunchy veggies. Perfect for parties without the heavy feeling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cubed or cut into ghost shapes
  • 8 ounces mozzarella pearls
  • 4 ounces goat cheese log, rolled in black sesame seeds (optional)
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, torn into strips
  • 4 ounces salami, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 cup classic candy corn
  • 1 cup red and green grapes
  • 1 orange, sliced into thin half-moons
  • 1 apple, sliced and tossed in lemon juice
  • 1 cup baby carrots, halved lengthwise
  • 1 cup cucumber slices
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks
  • ½ cup roasted pumpkin seeds (unsalted)
  • ½ cup store-bought hummus
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • Dash of smoked paprika
  • Honey for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Prep the cheese: Cut sharp cheddar into 1-inch cubes (or use ghost-shaped cookie cutter). Drain and pat dry mozzarella pearls. Roll goat cheese log in black sesame seeds if desired.
  2. Prep the meat: Tear prosciutto into long strips. Fold salami slices into quarters.
  3. Prep the fruit and veggies: Wash grapes and pat dry. Slice orange into thin half-moons. Core and slice apple, toss with lemon juice. Halve baby carrots lengthwise. Slice cucumber into thin rounds.
  4. Make the pumpkin hummus: In a small bowl, mix hummus with pumpkin puree and smoked paprika until smooth and orange. Add salt to taste if needed.
  5. Assemble the board: Place small bowls for candy corn, pumpkin hummus, and honey on the board. Arrange cheese around the board. Add prosciutto and salami in small piles. Fill gaps with fruit and veggies. Scatter pretzel sticks and pumpkin seeds in empty spaces.
  6. Final touch: Drizzle honey over goat cheese log. Sprinkle extra candy corns around the board for decoration.

Notes

Assemble no more than an hour before serving. Keep candy corn in a separate bowl to prevent sogginess. For a dairy-free version, use plant-based cheeses. For a gluten-free board, skip pretzels and add more pumpkin seeds or rice crackers.
