This easy loaded bacon ranch game day dip is the perfect appetizer for any gathering. Creamy, savory, and packed with bacon and cheese, it’s a crowd-pleaser that comes together in about 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the bacon: bake at 400°F for 15-18 minutes until crispy, then crumble.
  3. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes or microwaving for 10-15 seconds.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
  5. Add the ranch seasoning packet and stir until evenly distributed.
  6. Fold in 1 cup of shredded cheddar and all of the mozzarella. Reserve remaining 1/2 cup cheddar for topping.
  7. Reserve about 2 tablespoons of crumbled bacon for garnish, then fold the rest into the dip.
  8. Reserve a tablespoon of green onions for garnish, then stir the rest into the dip.
  9. Transfer the mixture to an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  10. Top with reserved cheddar and crumbled bacon.
  11. Bake for 18-22 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Optionally broil for 1-2 minutes for extra browning.
  12. Let rest for 5 minutes, then sprinkle reserved green onions on top before serving.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and sour cream. Shred cheese from a block for smoother melting. Let dip rest 5 minutes before serving to set. Can be assembled a day ahead and refrigerated; add 5-7 minutes to baking time.
