  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Thinly sliced green onions, for garnish

  • Wooden or metal skewers (wooden soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the salmon fillets. Cut into 1.5-inch cubes, aiming for uniform size for even cooking (about 5 minutes).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic until honey dissolves (about 3 minutes).
  3. Add salmon cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes. Thread salmon pieces onto skewers, leaving space between pieces (about 10 minutes).
  5. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  6. Grill the salmon skewers for 3-4 minutes per side, brushing with reserved marinade once during cooking. Cook until salmon is opaque and flakes easily, total grilling time 8-10 minutes.
  7. Remove skewers from grill and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes
